A local councillor is asking the public to have their say on his proposal to open a dog park in Drogheda.
Independent Councillor Kevin Callan says he's witnessed some small fenced-off dog parks in New York City that have been incorporated into existing public parks.
The councillor says a dog park usually consists of a place that is fenced and gated and has a surface that can be washed while it would also have drinkers, seating and disposal bins for dog waste.
Councillor Callan now wants people to contact him by email or on Facebook about his proposal to open such a park in Drogheda on a trial basis.
