Hundreds of people attended a candlelit vigil last night, in memory of the County Louth family who were found dead at their family home in Drumgowna, County Louth, on Monday morning.
Mark (54) and Louise O'Connor (56) and their son Evan (27) were remembered at a special candelit vigil at Stonetown Community Walking Track, following their tragic passing on Monday.
The Catholic Archbishop of Armagh, and Primate of All Ireland, Eamon Martin was among those who gathered to pay their respects.
Local priest Father Gerry Campbell told the crowd the deaths had sent 'ripples of grief across the parish and into the hearts of all who heard their story'.
Father Campbell lead the prayers at the vigil, saying: "Lord of light and consolation, we gather tonight carrying a sorrow too heavy for words.
From this quiet and tranquil corner of County Louth, the loss of Mark, Louise and Evan has sent ripples of grief across our parish and across this land and into the hearts of all who have heard their story.
We come before you with our questions, our disbelief and our aching hearts. Hold us in your mercy when answers seem far away.
Surround us with your presence when darkness feels overwhelming.
Give us faith to trust that Christ who is the resurrection and the life walks with us in this valley of tears and will one day turn our mourning into the joy of his eternal kingdom."

Robert O'Connor (31), of Drumgowna, Louth Village, is charged with the murders of Mark, Louise, and Evan O’Connor.
Robert O'Connor appeared before Judge Stephanie Coggans in Drogheda District Court on Tuesday evening, charged with three counts of murder.
Garda Shane O'Malley gave evidence of arresting, charging and cautioning Robert O'Connor - no reply was given to each charge after each caution.
Mr O'Connor, was represented by solicitor Paul James Moore. Mr Moore said that the accused had been in use of the mental health services since 22 and made the application for a psychiatric assessment and for legal aid. No bail was sought for Mr O'Connor as the district court does not deal with bail hearings for persons charged with murder. Murder charge bail hearings are heard before the High Court.
Robert O'Connor was remanded in custody to appear before Drogheda District Court again, via videolink, on Monday, October 6th.
Funeral arrangements for the O'Connor family have yet to be published.
