SSE is inviting residents and businesses from Platin and the surrounding areas, to a pre-construction information evening to learn about a new 300 million euro power station.
The site is across the townlands of Carranstown and Caulstown.

The project team will be in Sage and Stone in Duleek this evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.
It will also provide information on proposals for an additional planning application to run the station on natural gas, in addition to hydrotreated vegetable oil.
SSE says plant will strengthen security of supply and respond to periods of high demand in the Leinster region, while providing reliable back-up power to increasing amounts of renewable energy on the system.
