Leinster Champions Louth will not be in first round action and instead go straight into a quarter-final

The O'Byrne Cup will return on Saturday, January 3rd next.

Meath will face Wicklow away in the opening round.

Elsewhere, it's Laois v Dublin, Wexford v Kildare, Carlow v Offaly and Longford v Westmeath.

Leinster Champions Louth will not be in first round action and instead go straight into a quarter-final against the winners of that Longford/Westmeath game, the following Wednesday evening.

Under next year's structure the winner of the Laois v Dublin and Wexford v Kildare games will go straight into the semi-finals.

The semi-finals are down for decision on Saturday January 10th with the final, most likely the following weekend.

The losers of those first round games will contest the O'Byrne Shield.
